Westchester Psychological Associates, PLLC: Real Support for Couples in the Thick of Parenting Let’s be honest: the "parenting years" can be some of the most exhausting years for a marriage. Between the mental load of running a household and the constant needs of the kids, it’s incredibly easy for partners to start feeling like roommates—or worse, like adversaries. At Westchester Psychological Associates, we specialize in helping couples move from just surviving their daily schedules to actually reconnecting. While we offer individual therapy, our heart and our specialty is couples therapy. We work specifically with people who are "in the thick of it"—navigating the transition to parenthood, managing school-age chaos, and trying to find their way back to each other amidst the noise. Led by Dr. Jennifer Rubinstein Murray, a Clinical Psychologist, School Psychologist and graduate professor, our practice provides a sophisticated but deeply relatable space for growth. We know that "perfect" isn’t the goal—resilience and authenticity are. Our Approach: Beyond the Manual While our clinicians are Level 2 Gottman-trained, we don’t believe in a "one size fits all" approach. We know that every family is a unique system, so we integrate the Gottman Method with a variety of other clinical frameworks. We look at the deeper patterns of how you connect, how you handle conflict, and how your own histories impact the way you parent and partner today. Modern Care for Busy Families We know that for parents in Westchester, time is your most limited resource. To make prioritizing your relationship actually doable, we offer Telehealth services across both New York and Connecticut. You can do the work from your living room, on your own schedule. In addition to our primary focus on couples, we also provide: Individual Therapy: To help you manage the anxiety and life transitions that come with being an adult in a high-pressure world. Parenting Support: Clinical guidance to help you find your footing as a parent while keeping your relationship with your partner a priority. Let’s Connect If you’re ready to stop feeling like you’re just "co-parenting" and start feeling like partners again, we’re here to help. We invite you to reach out for a complimentary 15-minute consultation call. Let’s talk about the reality of your relationship and how we can help you build something that feels "good enough" and then some.
