Looking for a place where your child can explore the arts, build confidence and discover something they genuinely enjoy?
Steffi Nossen School of Dance and the Music Conservatory of Westchester are opening their shared White Plains home to families for a free Music and Dance Open House on Saturday, September 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Families can try classes, meet teachers and explore music and dance programs for a wide range of ages and abilities. ArtsWestchester will also be there with a special hands-on arts and crafts project, making this a morning filled with opportunities to move, make and create.
One Visit, Two Creative Communities
Having both schools together makes it easy for families to explore different creative paths in one visit.
At the Music Conservatory of Westchester, students can build musical skills and confidence through lessons, ensemble experiences, recitals and other performance opportunities.
At Steffi Nossen School of Dance, students develop technique, self-expression and confidence through age-appropriate instruction and opportunities to perform. The school welcomes dancers from 18 months through adulthood, with programs ranging from parent-and-toddler and creative movement classes to ballet, modern, jazz, tap, Afrobeats, adaptive dance and pre-professional training.
Both organizations share an encouraging, growth-focused approach. Students are supported as they learn, experiment and make progress without the expectation of perfection.
Find the Right Fit for Your Family
Choosing an arts program can be difficult from a schedule or class description alone. An open house gives children the chance to experience the space and instruction firsthand while parents meet the educators, ask questions and learn which program may be the best match.
Whether your child is ready to pick up an instrument, try a new dance style or simply spend the morning creating, this free event offers a welcoming place to begin.
