TUXEDO, NY - The gates of the iconic New York Renaissance Faire are set to open Saturday, August 15! The Faire’s 2026 season runs eight weekends starting August 15 and closing on Sunday, October 4. Guests will enjoy an exciting, eclectic mix of fun and frivolity located on thirty-plus acres just a short drive from New York City. Leave this century behind, join us and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and flavors of a day in a beautiful, bustling 16th Century shire with hundreds of daring, talented and zany villagers.
FEASTING
Go on a stroll through the village with a colossal Roasted Turkey Leg, or one of the many scrumptious vegetarian delights like the ever-popular Onion Blossom, Falafel or Chocolate-Dipped Bananas. Delicious Portobello Mushroom Sandwiches, Gelato, Fruit Ice, Bangers and Mash, and Ice Cream Crepes are some of the Faire’s other popular offerings on its extensive menu. For the thirsty, craft brews, ciders, mead, teas, sodas and other refreshing beverages are readily available. Take home a memory from one of over 125 artisan shops where you can find everything from handmade chainmaille, Scottish kilts and handcrafted leather masks to Steampunk adornments, soaps, jewelry and beautiful floral wreaths for the hair. Interesting, educational demonstrations by potters, blacksmiths, glassblowers and other working artisans are offered many times throughout the day. Entertainment at the New York Renaissance Faire is found at every turn, in the village streets and on one of the many stages showcasing daredevil acrobats, soulful musicians and side-splitting comedians. Weekend One: Marketplace Weekend - August 15 and 16 - Spend $500 or more in our Marketplace and receive two tickets to return to the Faire any Saturday or Sunday through September 20, 2026. Full details and rules can be found at RenFair.com/NY
Weekend Two: Cottagecore Weekend – August 22 and 23 Don your best woodland attire and frolic at the Faire this weekend! We’ll provide a map for a self-guided ‘Cozy Crawl’ showing the locations of Village Artisans creating beautiful handmade items that you can take home to your own cozy cottage. There will be a costume contest and trivia. Stroll through Fairie Walk to catch a glimpse of our Fae! Be sure to round out your day at our Whimsical Ball.
Weekend Three: Pirate Weekend - August 29 and 30 - Pirates of all ages will be welcomed to the annual celebration of all things piratical this weekend. Details about this and more weekend activities are located on the Faire’s website.
Weekend Four: Time Travelers' Weekend - September 5, 6 and 7 - Guests are invited to dress up in their finest time- traveling attire celebrating any genre, be it fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk, cosplay, and more!
Weekend Six: September 19 – Talk Like a Pirate Day (Saturday Only) The Pirates are back for one day only! This time they’re hosting a pirate ball, and our first ever costume contest sing-a-long!
Final Weekend: Harvest Ball – October 3 and 4 - Celebrate the turning of the seasons with the Harvest Ball and Final Revels upon the Chess Board from 6 until 6:45 p.m. as the sun sets over our shire. Special guest performers will delight and dazzle you with music, merriment, and skill! It's the perfect ending to a memorable day at the New York Renaissance Faire!
RIDES and GAMES
A wonderland of rides and games await you at the Faire! Dragonslayer, Barrel of Bedlam, Rotten Revenge and the Sea Dragon Swing are a sampling of the fun that is to be had.
PUB CRAWL
Travel with your bartender for immediate service. Four alcoholic drinks are included in the Pub Crawl – one at each pub. Ticket price is $90 and will go on sale in August. The Pub Crawl runs four times each day. Pub Crawl tickets may only be purchased by New York Renaissance Faire ticket holders. They are very popular and sell out quickly. Set on a summer day in 1574 when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth visited a beautiful 16th century village, the New York Renaissance Faire is open for eight weekends and located 40 miles from Manhattan in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Open rain or shine, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., every Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day Monday, August 15 through October 4. Tickets are $60 for adults; $28 for children, ages 5 to 12. Show an I.D. to receive a discount for military or seniors aged 62 and better. Children aged 4 and under are admitted free. Season passes are also available.
