Briarcliff Manor is kicking off the new year with something brand-new and you can be part of it from the very beginning! The Briarcliff Manor Recreation Department and Macaroni KID Northern Westchester are teaming up to launch the First First Day Festival, a community-wide celebration packed with activities designed to welcome 2026 with joy, connection, and fresh starts.
This free, family-friendly festival is all about bringing neighbors together through a full day of “firsts” from outdoor adventures to arts and music, to wholesome fun for all ages. And now, the organizers are inviting local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to help make it happen.
Calling All Activity Hosts: Bring Your Idea to Life!
Do you run a business or community group with a great idea for a January 1st activity?
This event is the perfect opportunity to introduce residents to what you do while contributing something meaningful to the community.
Examples of activities include:
- First Run
- First Hike
- First Playdate
- First Sing-Along
- First Brunch
- First Concert
- First Craft or Workshop
- …and organizers are open to your suggestions!
Hosts may lead an activity, provide a demo, coordinate a group experience, or offer something entirely unique. Creativity is encouraged.
