To commemorate this milestone anniversary, Penny Lick Ice Cream is hosting a celebratory event for the community at its original Hastings on Hudson location (580 Warburton Avenue) on Saturday, September 20th, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The festivities will be packed with family-friendly activities, including face painting, a flavor naming contest, and a craft station. The event also serves as a scoop-a-thon—a portion of the proceeds of all sales benefits the Hastings on Hudson Union Free School District's Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA). SEPTA works to support students, families, and staff as they partner on both educational and recreational initiatives. They provide parent education programming and serve to inform the community of new regulations and district initiatives. |
In honor of the anniversary, Penny Lick is introducing a special, limited-edition flavor that pays homage to Hastings’ rich history. The new flavor, a pavement grey ice cream made with charcoal and a rich caramel swirl, ties into two important parts of the village’s past—the sugar refineries and the renowned Hastings marble and pavers. The shop is holding a naming contest for this unique flavor, and the winner will receive a special "Everything But the Scoop" party pack, valued at $85.
